Wait what saggin pants illegal

When I can walk around with no pants on, I'll be okay with the collective "you" busting a sag. Pull up your damn pants. It's retarded. What's the objective of "sagging"? Is it prison yard flirting? What is the expression the individual is trying to demonstrate?

Serious questions. I don't get it. I mean I can live with it, but I just don't see the answer to the question why? And I also wouldn't have ever voiced a complaint about it, but I'll participate since you started it. :) I also realize that I sound like my Dad used to sound years ago, and I feel all stabby about it.

I think it should be illegal in every state:rulez:...i cant stand when im out riding around or with the family going to the supermarket, these kids pants are below there butt cheeks :moon: and holding there belts so they wont fall down. that is so stupid. even some adults are doing this now.:wtf:

I think it's ridiculously hysterical! You want to look the fool in public by all means do so.
It's a fashion statement derived in the hood and will go out of fashion when the next ridiculous trend replaces it.
I've been known to sag round da crib wit no unterhosen on...the wife loves it!

Sagging pants are good.
You don't have to lead your target as much cuz they run slower.

^Agreed. +100000

They are also much less of a physical threat in a fight.

Do I want it to be illegal? Yes. Should it be illegal? No. They can do what they want. Just makes them look stupid and keeps them in the same lowlife lifestyle they learned to "sag" in. You will never get a nice professional job showing up with your pants sagging...

Welcome to Wal-Mart is all they will be doing! :welcome:

Hate it all you want, as long as they have something on (usually shorts) under the jeans.

Do you want it to be possible for them to make wearing lets say.... our protective (power ranger) leather suits on the streets because it looks silly to some. Or because our gloves basically have built in 'brass knuckles'

Remember, if it's possible to outlaw something the majority doesn't like, you may one day not be in the majority. I don't like sagging pants any more than you do, however I like our freedoms being taken away from us even less.

Sagging pants don't cause gang activity. Gang activity won't be reduced by reducing the number of people sagging. It will be reduced by getting Thugs off the street. Personally I like to know at a glance who said thugs are.

yeah, because I've always used gang members/criminals as my role models  like what's been said, easier to lead...

Stupid yes, Illegal, no.

It is not a freedom it is a choice. No more or less than bell bottoms, parachute pants or mullets. The difference is none of these had ones posterior hanging out but all now looking back seem really stupid. For goodness sake make them illegal before the fashion revolution rolls around again!!!

As much as I hate seeing it...along with the crooked caps....it should not even be in a legal discussion. Just more personal rights being taken away.

Good thing they didnt make the bikini illegal 50 years ago.

just another stupid law. There are lots of them. You would think politicians have something better to do than worry about saggy pants.

I was listening to the news a couple months back and they talked about what it costs from start to finish to pass a new law. I can't seem to find the info but the costs to tax payers is incredible. 10k plus. Wish I could find it to share.

Sure, they can outlaw our gear. It'll get overturned the same day a big insurance company has to pay out for medical bills that could have been prevented by a "power ranger" suit. :beerchug:

Everything's all screwed up... I like the baggie pants (on someone else) because it lets me know that person has a worse than retardation issue.. I dont think it needs to become a law to stop it BUT it probably will before long.. It seems the ones pushing Morality laws ( you cant say this or that / this is a hate crime thats a hate crime etc) Are doing worse than the people doing the duh huh . It seems the politicians are pointing fingers at everything else while they sell out the country to China and every other form of foreign Government.. So bottem line is Baggy pants are bad , but theres a whole lots worse happening that nothing is said about.. ( $4.00 a gallon for fuel)

"I know kids who do it, I tell them pull your pants up it don't look professional," resident Paul Burgess said.

I love this quote, can you spot the grammar error in this "professional" individuals statement? Lol

I hate the look, and the way most of the people act that sag down to their knees, but it's no basis for legal action.

I guess sagging skinny jeans and face and full body tattoos have replaced the white t-shirts and leather jackets of the 50s. Remember how bad people thought that was.

I would support that law. Yeah I know, it starts with jeans and soon I will have no guns. But, for some reason we think we have the right to do anything short of committing murder. Living in this country does give us certain right but we also have social responsibility. Every day we see the envelope being pushed further and further towards the obnoxious all while we are becoming more tolerant and even supportive of some of these things.
We are allowing our society to be stripped of professionalism, decency and common sense. I remember a time when we use to preach “Dress for Success”, today everything is about self expression. I meet young adults all the time who have never worn a suit or even a tie. I see people show up to interviews wearing jeans, t-shirts and sneakers. Kids dress better to attend a football game than the prom. Why, because we keep telling them it is OK, you have the right to be that way. I can see it now, law suits because you didn’t hire someone because they didn’t look professional.
It may seem like it is just a way to wear pants but it is part of an attitude of laziness that is causing our society to become complacent.

If parents would raise their kids properly this thread would not exist.

But then again holey jeans and flannel shirts were the norm when I was growing up and folks thought we looked wrong.

maybe just outlaw it on guys...........I dont see a problem when done correctly:whistle:

I actually love the idea of thugs, or wanna be thugs for that matter, identifying themselves in that manner. Most LEOs I know enjoy it too because they are not able to run for anything. It allows larger people like myself the option of running in our fight or flight response  Basically we do have to have laws in place to safe guard everyone. It is a slippery slope and a fine line between the common good and the right of individuals. I know there are several cities across the nation that are trying to figure out how to make it illegal to broadcast porn in moving vehicles without steping on the rights to privacy in cars. I do not envy our lawmakers because there is never an easy answer and you will never please everyone. As others have said, it puts the sagger at a total disadvantage in hand to hand as well as making it harder for them to escape me once I have used their pants to get the upper hand in the fight
