Hello All,

Have read allot of posts on Rims, and currently have a 2003 ZZR1200 and a 2005 Busa. I put these rims on my ZZR in 2003 and they have been great. Very light and looks great. You will find them for sale at allot of different shops but go direct and get them allot cheaper. I have never polished them just soap and water and windex. Currently the Busa is scheduled for $ 1500.00 worth of mods, and after I recover from that bill the rims are next. Check out the company also I have a link to my ZZR so you can see the rims on that bike. Will post pictures of the Busa in a few weeks...currently waiting on Exhaust which is due in end of the week before shop will start on mods.

Actually, The $1500 is the price of future mods he is planning. The price of the rims is not mentioned in his post OR on the web site he pointed us to. Judging from that, I deduce that they are in fact FREE! Not being greedy i would like 2 fronts and 2 rears please

I'll even offer to pay $30 in freight!

The wheels are $ 1000.00 plus shipping which is allot when you can get car wheels cheaper but these rims are really nice you must go to there website and read about there rims and why they feel they are the best. I will be going with Stage 2, I have the Stage 1 on the ZZR but want something different for the busa.

RC Componant rims run 2500.00
these rims are cheap for 1000.00
cost 600 for the stock wheels to be chromed.
Might have to look into this!!!!

The cush drive is on the rear wheel and it absorbes the direct connect torque that is applied to the rear wheel. Back in the day you had the rim and the rear sprocket bolted directly to the rim, so if you snap the throttle you would get the jerk effect, the cush drive is what your sprocket bolts to and it has rubber behind it that makes contact with the wheel, was known as a cushion drive and than later dropped to cush drive. If you take your wheel off and pull on your sprocket you will see it comes off in your hand and you will see your cush drive from the factory.

now....that type of group buy...I might even be willing to break out the plastic for...

Group Buy !!! if we could get a group buy together I can contact the owner of the company and see what type of deal he will give us. With my zzr1200 the board I am a member of www.zzr1200.net is a site like this site but just for ZZR1200 owners and we got allot of vendors to give a discount because of group buying. Once we come up with some type of number on how many I can contact him and ask. I can tell you that 20+ members on the ZZR website have purchased these rims and nothing but praise. I have had them on the ZZR since 03 and no problems. The 2 different bike shops I deal with both said that the quaility was above average and coming from the dealer that is great because he also sells custom rims but of course these are sold direct so we can cut out the middle man. I can't have the busa sitting beside the ZZR without a set of rims

I will be ordering these rims no matter what end of August or first of September. But if we all could save some money that would be cool. Also a added benefit at least with the ZZR I shaved 19lbs off the weight of the bike, the ZZR had very have stock rims and taking 19lbs off rolling weight is like double taking it off somewhere else. So the benefit I saw on the first ride was, quicker accel, quicker leaning, and better stopping. I can post the weight of the front and back wheel of these rims, but I don't know how much our busa rims weight to see if we get some weight reduction if anyone knows please put up the weight and I will put up the new rim weight. I have stage 1 on the ZZR but will put stage II on the Busa they are a little lighter than stage 1 and I think look better.
If anyone has any questions for me about them my email address is billc@visuallink.com

The price I was given was for the Stage 2 nickel chrome, and that price is not a group discount price just the normal price joe blow off the street.

The question about sprockets.. on my set of rims I have used Sprocket Specialist, than went with a 46 rear and they were out of stock so went with a AFAM. The rims will take all brands as far as I know. The best thing about them are they are designed specific for each application, so no rigging anything to make them work... Remove your front rotors bolt onto the new rims, remove your rear sprocket, rear rotor bolt onto the new rims. When I did my set for the ZZR I did wait till I had the money to put new tires on also.. didn't want new rims with half way wore out tires on them
