Interesting I'm at 12000 miles on my 06 and have been sweating this inspection for awhile it seems for nothing I'm wondering if maybe it depends on how hard you push your machine or is it perhaps better design over the years mainly better lubrication in key areas of the valve train?
All you folks are making me feel much better. Mine's just past the 14,500 mark that the book recommends for the first check and I was hoping to wait until winter to do it. I can breath a sigh of relief. My old Honda 900F needed frequent checks and the clearance changed a lot for the first 20,000 miles.
These Busa's are designed and built well.
Checked them twice.....17K and 32K... were in spec still... now 57K.....I should check them....I might...still runs killer and sounds great.
Been gone awhile from here....fun to be back !
