Valve adjustment

I need to check my valve clearances.  '04 Busa with 17,000 on the clocks.  I've done work on numerous motorcycles with shim/bucket valve setups and can pull and replace cams, etc. without a worry.

BUT -- in my 15+ years of working on bikes I've never seen a warning like what I found in my Haynes Hayabusa manual.  On page 2-13 it states in bold type:

WARNING: If the camshaft holder bolts are carelessly loosened and the holder does not come squarely away from the head, the holder is likely to BREAK.  IF THIS HAPPENS THE ENTIRE CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY MUST BE REPLACED as the holders are matched to the cylinder head...

YEEEOW!  For those of you who have pulled Hayabusa cams, are the cam holders really that delicate?  I have the book that details the tightening/loosening sequence for the bolts, but crickey... And like I said I've worked on motors before and pulled cams, swapped shims, etc.  so I'm not going into new territory here.  But this warning was something new to me.

Any thoughts and insight are much appreciated.
