So for something to do when it does rain around here I picked up a budget cherokee. So far I have only replaced the tires, radio, and speakers. And of course some jeep stuff before smog. Radiator, thermostat, motor mount.....

Pretty impressed with it off road, even stock. Pulled out a 4runner, s-10, and a f-350 4x4 so far. Here are a couple pics from yesterday. The waterlogged rig is a Toyota. Not my jeep. Almost thought I was gonna stuff my front end once.

The tire pics are the old and new. Lets see
Some pics of anyone else's rigs for some
Inspiration. Mine is waaaaay to small.

That's nice. I've been looking for a Jeep for commuting during the winter here.

I like everything but the commuting. I have a couple more maintenance items that need replacing that are resulting in 10-12 mpg across the board.

But if ya got crazy weather it's worth it.

Valid point. I only live 3 miles from work but I'm in the higher elevation. My 2 wheel drive F-150 just doesn't cut it sometimes. Heck, it's snowing right now....about 3" so far today.

Nice. I dd a stock XJ now. I used to have a TJ on 37s w/lockers and other cool parts.

Mods are addicting, so pace yourself. Also rotate those STT's like it's your job! They will chop something fierce!

Nice! When I get my torque converter lockup working properly I can't wait for a snow trip. (Yeah it's an auto, but the price was right)

Ha I was just thinking of jacking it up and rotating today. So far I love the grip though.

Here's one I built
Ran it for a few years and recently sold

Yeah, it got muddy

My ex loved Jeeps...he had a '47 Willys that he finally parted with for a military collector, went through a CJ-5 and and a CJ-7 (that one was my personal favorite and it's where I learned to drive a stick-shift). I miss it still :(

I'd love to have an old CJ-7 again one day, but right now it's just a Grand Cherokee for me. Love it though  Definitely not set up to be an off-road adventurer, but perhaps in her retirement? :D

Sold my 01 4runner a few months ago...bought a '12 Corolla:laugh:(needed something good on gas)
Put a spacer lift on the 4runner, 2.5" in the back and 1" in the front, and some BFGoodwrichs(can't find pics with them on it). The small lift gave it much needed bumper clearance to clear the base of steep hills. Made a big difference.
I needed/wanted something else 4x4, so I bought a '98 Ford F-250XL, 5.4 auto, the day after the Corolla:laugh:
So far all I've got done is replace all the dash/interior lights with blue leds, much better.
A small lift and 35's are next. These trucks can gain 3" in the front just by cranking up the torsion bars. But I'm going to add torsion bar keys, and 2.5" blocks or springs in the rear.
I like the Jeep too, they're great stock and alot of potential.:beerchug:

It's that a rule? Gotta park next to other jeeps. Almost like the redneck version of Subaru fans. Nice jk, I was looking up the price of those because my girl wants a newer 4x4. Those stay pricey too lol.

Man dash light change is what I need. The new deck in the dash makes my gauges look stupid.

Pretty much, dont you park next to other busa's?

LEDs are cheap, and an easy swap. Lots of colors available too.
They work great for gauges and ac/heat controls.
I wouldn't advise using them for turn signals, highbeam, cruise, or any other dash lights beside illumination. Those other lights are blinding! And in several vehicles that I've seen or done.

Ill have to look it up. I'm sure there's gotta be a hundred videos of swaps on YouTube.
