Urgent Help Needed - tick tick sound....

Just finished putting the bike toguether and there is tick tick tick tick sound coming from the front of the engine, when you accelerate the tick tick get faster....

What I just did:

Full system 4:1 Leo Vince
Small air box mod
Bmc race filter
blocked all three hoses instead of removing the pair valve (i didnt have block off plates)

Any idea what this could be? I want to go on a ride tomorrow but im scare of that noise....

A light ticking is normal... Are you being paranoid because you just took the bike apart and then was listening harder than normal or without a helmet with it in the garage. Normal ticking can be heard with a helmet on but it sounds really light - it seems alot louder without a helmet... Make sure the ticking is not coming from the clutch cover this is not normal.

Could be a exhaust leak.

I know the ticking wasnt there.... before I did all these mods.... it sounds like is coming from the pair falve.... oh man who knows.... any ideas?

the new header is one of those hold by springs.... you think if there is a leak will make a tick tick sound?

Did you use new exhaust gaskets when you changed the header ???

No, I thought they look good, but then again I dont know better. you think is that?

Recheck your work...maybe you have a loose bolt(s) on the header...or however you blocked off the pair valve didn't work.
