Undertail instal question

That little piece of foam rubber around the stock taillight assy. Did you guys keep it or discard it?

I didn't keep it on mine - it fit better without it.  I read that some did keep the foam.  It is up to you.  Some like it to keep things snug.

6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other.....

I did not use mine. .

The only difference is that it doesnt keep the water out.

I'm sure that you can make a new one
