Tyre 190/55zr17

I have a 200/50. Yours will fit fine...

Hey Super; What did you notice when switched to the 200? Is that the only alt you have tried? I'm wondering the pros and cons of 190 50 vs 190 55 vs 200 50. I'm wondering if the heaver 200 (slightly) can even be felt?
Thanks Supzook

190/55/17. Is taller only . raising the back of the bird slightly aiding in turn in . The 55 series will also affect final gear ratio , and speedometer.
55 is the = of 1.25 rear teeth lowering your rpms by about 150 in each gear . The birds speed is off about 5 to 6 mph in stock form this change will make it off by 3 to 4 mph .
200 = 200 mm wide , 50 = 50% of 200 mm ( aspect ratio )

So a 190 / 50 is 50% aspect ratio were a 55 is 55% ratio . both are 190 mm. Wide.

I put on a set of Carrozzeria forged wheels and they were a little bit wider that the Suzuki shockers. It made the 190 tires flat on the road, I went to the 200 to maintain a rounded profile.
There wasn't any difference in the feel when transitioning into or out of a lean.

Good info, I'll add some more:

190/50 tire -
Circumference 76.91 in
10,000 rpm in 1st gear = 73 mph
80 mph in 6th gear = 4370 rpm

190/55 tire -
Circumference 79.26 in
10,000 rpm in 1st gear = 75.3 mph
80 mph in 6th gear = 4240 rpm

I have tried the 190/55 (Q3). I have the rear raised 1" too. IMHO this made the bike a bit more twitchy, which was not necessary for my style of riding (moderately twisty country roads). So I prefer the 190/50 size for the stability you get while still having the decent turn-in. Raising the rear is magic on the Busa. Makes it track so much truer and the front is more planted feeling. Anyway both these tires are nice, I just prefer the 190/50.
