Pac, I just resolved my own problems with shifting. If you have checked that the shift lever is good you can pull the sprocket cover and check the shift rod and the shift actuator. Do not pull the shift rod or actuator out, but hold it so that you can see inside while pulling the clutch lever. If the actuator moves your good on that side. Next step would be to pull the clutch cover off and start there. All this I got from clrwtrbusa when I have my troubles.
