I have a 2005 Hayabusa with Hahn stage 1 kit and Power Commander 3 USB.
I am going to remove the FMU and run a 1:1 regulator, Bosch 044, and S2000 injectors. I figure I'll probably run 58psi fuel pressure.
My question is how to get a rough tune to start it and ride it.
Are the values in the Power Commander a % of the stock duty cycle, so can I just knock 40% out of all the cells to get close, or are the values in the PC map actually duty cycle values added or subtracted from the stock duty cycle.
If its % to modify stock values then I should be able to just subtract a certain amount out of all cells, but if they are actual duty cycle adders/subtractor values, then that would be super hard to tune relative to the stock mapping.
The PC3 manual makes it seem like its actually DC adder/subtractor values, but that can't be right can it, its gotta be % of the DC, otherwise it would be about impossible for dyno tuners even wouldn't it?
Ive tuned a few Megasquirt turbo cars and a Holley EFI car so I'd like to give tuning this a shot. I have a Zeitronix datalogger on the bike for AFR readings.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks!
Frank
