True Free Credit Report and Opt Out

Been taking classes with Dave Ramsey program..... very good stuff. Thought I would share these two great sights. Maybe you guys/gals already know about it but then there is always a few that do not. http:annualcreditreport.com and http:/www.optoutprescreen.com/ Give it a look see.

I get the free report once a year as a double-check.

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp give you your report (Without score) from all three of the major agencies.

Almost ALL the one's you see advertised on TV are NOT FREE.

Exactly. The second one can cut down your junk mail if you sign up for it online for 5 years and send in an letter and its for life. This info from the credit report even without the score is vital to make sure there is no erronious data reflected against you. Then use it as a chopping block to request to have it removed. Good to know what is out there and most likely we all already know what our credit is but the score would be cool to have but this report is very detailed and something to keep on hand. For the annual credit report, I run it every 4 months. You can do that by only choosing one (not all three) agencies. Say Transunion in Jan, Experian and May and Equifax in September. That way you can catch any funny stuff in advance.

Don't always agree with Ramsey, but he's got some good advice.
