I have a 2006 Busa. I went down on it. When I start it it will run as soon as I put it in gear it dies! Someone said that it might be the kickstand sensor! Because it is missing the cable connecting the kickstand to the engine.

That switch is often ruined or the connector ruined as well in a lay down.

As Wuzza rightly said, it will be the kickstand switch/circuit causing the issue you have.

Find the wires and connect them.
All the kickstand switch does is break the connection when the stand is down.

Yes, make sure your kickstand is up when putting it in gear.
If it is up, chk the cable or the sensor.
