Transmission - Shifting - need to lift hard or twice to upshift

My bike was shifting with minimal issues until I recently.

I got the RPMs up to 9k, let off the throttle, and gunned it again. I didn't time the clutch well and basically all of the torque slammed the tranny.

Now I notice that when upshifting the bike doesn't shift easily with a single lift on an upshift. I either have to lift harder to give two quick soft lifts. This seems to happen in every gear and also happens slightly when downshifting. I don't know if there's an adjustment or if I did some damage inside. Any thoughts?

whats the year and miles

2002, bike has 15k, most of the miles are in town. I've never really dumped the clutch, usually power wheelies or slipping the clutch.

The problem now is that there feels like a "half-shift" when I upshift. It doesn't quite shift the entire way up unless I give it a second quick shift or lift on it hard.

I've already gotten used to shifting it but if anyone knows what I need to do to fix I would rather do that.

Sound like bent shift shafts, or forks!

Either way the motor would need to come out to find out!

Thanks for the info.

Looks like an interesting winter project. Hopefully I can get by for the rest of this season.
