totally off the wall question

I was wondering what it would take to get my 06 busa to pass the 200mph mark at Maxton. I was thinking how cool it would be to go down there and try it so i was must curious as to what would be necessary to get it done on a stock motor. so here is my set up and my thoughts. feel free to add corrections. im just guessing on this anyway.
THis is my set up
1. lowered 2 inches
2. brock alien head with pc3 and brock street map
3. airbox mod
4. running -1+2 sprockets
I was thinking of getting these things in order to make it happen.
1. go with +1-2 on sprockets..... just a guess. i have no idea just throwing it out there..lol
2. getting that gear sensor from schnitz that removes the restriction.
3. using mr11 fuel for the run

I dont want to tear into the engine for this. just wondering if it could be done with off the shelf type stuff.... I mean if it hits the wall at 186mph it would seem not that hard to go another 14 or 15mph or so. ???

thoughts:bowdown:

pretty sure it will take a significant increase in HP or aerodynamics to get you over that last 15mph or so... the faster you go the more resistance you have to overcome and while it doesnt seem like much the difference in a machine that can approach 150 then 180 and then 200 is night and day. I guess if you had 20-30miles you could build up to it but most places like maxton give you a mile, which isnt very far to get going *that* fast

Hopefully one of the LSR guys will chime in for you here but I suspect the answer is you will need more than gearing, speed restriction removal and high test gas

You probably wont do it on a stock motor....turbo or nitrous is most likely going to be the minimum you would need.

If you ever saw the statistics on the buggatti veyron, it uses about 275 HP to get it to 154 mph, and 1000 HP to get it another 100 MPH.

Aerodynamic drag is a mofo.

I think you could go at least mid 190's with the proper conditions. That in itself is a good reason to go! Well... that was my logic.
Do not think the fuel would help unless it was mapped for it?(no expert???)I used 91 octane to go over 200 on a gen2.Had an extra 1/2 mile:whistle:
Your set up is good, just change the gearing.I think 18/40 is around 202mph,you dont want to gear to high cause you won't have the HP to pull the gearing.
Like you said a top speed de-restrictor.I used a boostbysmith-switchable.
You should get a rule book,or info. at landspeedracing.com to know how to prep the bike, and yourself. There are a lot of little things that need to be done to the bike to pass tech.Metal chain guard, safety wire, proper leathers, etc, etc!
You will have a lot of fun if you go! Alot of good/knowledgable people there to help you.
I was a rookie and it went really smoothly. Goodluck if you decide to go!:beerchug:
PM me if you want to talk about all the prep. involved.

I do believe Johnnycheese went 200 on a stock motor with a pc3 and a pipe....contact Johnny and ask him what maps he was running. This was done with mapping, pipe and pc only.....oh and gears of course...... :oldcool:
