Had an Uncle who blew his ship up on D-Day to create a reef off the coast  so a make shift port could be made. As I recall

the Navy sunk over 50 ships to make a break water barrier !

I really salute  

that Generation, unlike ours, they FOUGHT to Win and would accept nothing less
