I plan on running the Texas Mile in March and I'm wondering what tires you guys use. Im going to buy a set for when I go down there so they will be fresh as I know that makes a difference.

Will a Power One have enough height to get close to 200 with the correct gearing?

You are seriously asking this question on the wrong board.

On a stock bike at least a medium compound zr rated tire. I just slapped on a new set of battle axe bt015's when i went. They did fine for me

i was running the factory tires that came on the busa ,, they did fine !

200 is a feat , unless you have some good mods , i may be looking into new wheel brgs

Sorry to bring up this thread again, but I also am thinking about tires for the Texas Mile in March.

I am a bit partial to Dunlop tires, and road race the Dunlop N-tec rear tire and road race front tire.

I was thinking of using one of the following tires sets
Option #1: Rear: Dunlop N-Tec Slick 195/65-17 and Front: 125/80-17
- Why: Because I have a ton of racing takeoffs.

Option #2: Rear: Dunlop Q2 200/50-17 and Front: 120/70-17
- Why: The Q2's should not require tire warmers to run at best performance.

What is my best choice in Dunlops?
