I don't know, nor do I care what the earlier issues were about...but the latest and I guess the last one was posted in general under "motonewb vs. wife". Another member posted a pic that was removed and Ron reposted it along with 1 more....and then there were a couple more pics posted. The Cap stepped in and pulled all the "offensive pics" and he made some comments that offended Ron.

I don't really want to get in the middle of this, I was just letting you know that thrasherfox has left the board.

There are some things I will not bend on no matter who it is. I like Ron but i gotta do what's right for the masses. We have had great success with keeping this site extremely clean. No porn, no sexually explicit pics, work and kid safe... I will not be responsible for somone losing their job because they opened a post at work. I will not be the site that you have to worry if your kids are looking over your shoulder. If there are folks that disagree with that then so be it, Ive said it for the past 4 years, go somewhere else no hard feelings. Those types of things are not going to happen here.

Let me add one more note. I absolutely hold the long time members to a higher standard, you guys have been posting here for years and absolutely know what the rules are and why we have them in place. It's one thing for a newbie to post a questionable pic, its completely another to post an image that you know is inappropriate and make a comment that it won't be long before the image is removed......... I expect leadership and guidance from the members that have been here awhile. This site is what you make it, my job is to simply facilitate the place to put all the information.

Keep it clean.........

On a lighter note, when we first started the site in 2001 I was working on the computer all the time building the site. My mother in law came over for dinner one night and she very calmly said I went to your website last night to see what you have been working so hard on... (I married the preachers daughter) Anyway she said I went to the pictures ( I was about to cry because I new what she was about to say) I saw a bunch of pictures of girls laying on bikes and wearing bikinis and things like that. She didnt approve, I respect her greatly and since that day I have the Mother in law test..... What would she say to me if she went to the site....... Its a pretty good standard to go by.

Capt, I don't think anyone is questioning the way you run the site.  I went and read the whole post between you and Thrash, of course the pics are gone so I have no idea what the problem with them actually was.  

I for one spend quite a few hours on this board daily, both here and at work, and though I do enjoy the occasional hottie posted next to a bike, I've yet to ever see anything I'd consider porn on this board.  I commend you on that, as having frequented other boards, you'll find a whole lot of language, racism, pornography, and plenty that has nothing to do about bikes.  I respect this board and the members that post here that help to contribute to keeping it clean, fun, and family oriented.

Now if I may, (and not to step on your toes), in keeping with the family oriented site, maybe it would have been better to address Thrash and tinmann through a PM and not in front of everyone for all to see.  I definitely am not questioning your right to pull inappropriate material, or remove members rights to post, I've been a member for almost a year, could probably count with 2 hands the number of days I have not visited this site in the last year.  The atmosphere, content and memebrs are the reason I continue to come back day after day.  Thanks for the priveledge to be a member of the org.

So I'm not into public floggin either, regardless if you saw the pics or not you can see by the post that everyone new they were not appropriate. When comments were made in a public forum about the "Pic Police" then I addressed it in public. I send probably 20 emails a week to different folks over content. Most of the time they are apologetic and didnt know the rules, tin man and thrasher obviously new the rules and even reposted the pics after I had taken them down.....

This site is successful because of the members not because of me, your conversations, your stories, your board. I just maintain it.

I haven't had any problems with you or the board. So don't shoot the messenger. I don't know what has happened in the past between you and Ron. I do know that he feels that you personally insulted him and his family. Yes the pics were inappropriate, but I see pics everyday on TV and news stands that are just as bad. I think you both owe each other an apology.

There are tasteful pics dont get me wrong, but images of a gal bent over the seat of a bike?

Let me throw this out there, the images that were recently posted that caused all the raucus didn't even have a bike in them...... There is a post out there now, something like show me your girlfriends... There are some very tasteful images there.
