I have one more buyer willing to make payments and draw up a purchase order. I dont like that idea either. If anything happens, I dont have a bike that I owe money on, or it gets wrecked and I still dont have bike I owe money on.

I would make arrangements for it to be picked up after you must have confirmed payment with your bank.So my means of payment will be Certified Bank Cashier's Check or Personal Bank certified Check ,which is more secured and better than any other means of payment.
Your asking price is okay by me and I would be willing to send you the asking price and I would include the shipping fees which i would highlight later.Please Note that my shipper will come to your location for the pick up after you have confirmed the payment.

bad idea! cash in full no exceptions allowed. too bad i hadn't read this thread sooner cause 3 guys from work all bought used bikes.

Don't do it. If they aren't credit worthy enough to get a loan from a bank, why would you lend them the money.

Just to let you know the only money order we take here is US Postal Money order. The reason being once it is issued there is a 90 day window where nothing can be reversed or canceled.

The thing with a money order from a bank is someone can get one, and walk back in the next day and say "I washed my pants with the money order in my pocket, can I get you to issue a new one?" and in the meanwhile they have sent it out.

Its rough out there, best of luck.
