I hope this isnt a repost, but take this you wackos at Westboro
Mississippi Town Destroys Westboro Baptist Plans

I'm probably going to upset a few people by saying this (because, apparently, everyone, even the WBC, has the "right" to do incredibly stupid things) but I'm glad that town has taken a stand against those people. Frankly, I'm astonished that no-one has shot them yet. (Not that I'd condone such a thing...but I'd certainly understand it.)

thats just beautifull!:cheerleader:

the good guys finally take a stand!

and BTW- i am suprised nobody has shot them d-e-d too! freakin maggots...:rulez:

I'm sure they will have the last laugh in court when they sue for having their right to protest interfered with. Doesn't seem right that they can sue for not being allowed their rights, but at the same time have declared that no citizen can sue them for any harm caused by their actions.

Gonna be hard to sue someone because their truck was improperly parked at the motel :)

GOOD ONE.

Protests. Fine. But at anyones funeral.???

Go have yer protest somewhere else.If you came to one of my family members funeral to do anything but the right thing, you would get yer a55 handed to you.

Baptists you say.Are they not supposed to be good God fearin' folk?

Jesus, please protect me from your followers.

I wish more communities would do things like that.

Be glad you don't live where they do. Of course around here we are used to them we just ignore them because they are like little kids, they only do it for attention and money. It is how they live. I am a member of the American Legion Riders and the Patriot Guard and have done many rides to shelter the families from such BS and to give them the respect that them and their loved ones deserve for paying the ultimate price. The last funeral that they attempted to protest the community came together, the city parked the fire trucks around where there was a fenced in area set aside for them, the city was playing music over the loud speakers at the court house where the phelps were located to drown out their chants that they were singing and we also had about 50 bikes and bikers roll in and stand in front of them with flags so no one could see them and then there was about another 275 bikes and bikers escort the family.

Bang. Outa the park. Nicely done. It should not need to be done...IMHO.

But hey,it's not a perfect world.

I like what the town did and think it should be done more often. The only thing I didn't like is the way the article was written. I think the guy is a tool for pointing out that their leader is democrat. Sounds like some BS to me. Why didn't he point out that they were Baptist or Christian? But then that is typical for conservatives, point out what they want for propaganda and leave the rest out.:moon:

Dont F with dem good ol boys..... We'll get ya every time. Makes me proud to be from MS.

Title of article states that baptists?

Did you read the update about the democratic comment he made?

Update to this story:

Due to all of the comments regarding Phelps being called a Democratic activist, I have added this update.

Although other Democrats may not agree with Phelps, he has been very politically active in the Democratic party, starting in the ‘80’s. He has run for office on the Democratic ticket many times as a mayor, governor, and as a senator; garnering a percentage of Kansas voters. Plus, it is a matter of public record that Phelps has been closely associated with Al Gore for years. Fred Phelps Jr. was Gore’s delegate in the Democratic convention and the family hosted the Gore fundraiser in Topeka in 1988 while claiming to have ‘run’ the Gore campaign in Kansas that year.

So while Democrats may want to distance themselves from what Phelps is doing and rightly so, but as a 6 time Democratic candidate, Phelps is clearly a Democrat activist. Admittedly, Phelps currently seems to be serving his own interests more than those of the Democratic Party.

All the author did was give some background of the guy. He never stated Phelps was backed by the democrats. Nor did he state he was backed by Baptists. All I got form the story was he was a baptist who use to be a lawyer and still checks the box for democrat.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Yeah, because liberals never engage in propagandising, eh? "Pravda" was a conservative publication, right? And so are The New York Times/HuffPo/The Washington Post, etc?

I would condone them being shot

Actually the last one they tried to protest at was here in council bluffs iowa this week. They showed up and we covered them with sheets and used vehicles as well to persuade them. it was awesome. Not to mention as was stated above there was around 300 of us bikers there and numerous other bikers as well. Council bluffs is called council tucky for a damn good reason...we dont put up with BS like them frickin pukes...i think its time for an old fashioned beat down of thoughs idiots.

Actually it was in his update where he tried to strenghten his connection to the democrats.

Liberals are just copy cats. They are just following the lead of the best propaganda machine out there. They need to start following the tuffness and resolve of that conservatives show also.:beerchug:

They prefer that you interfere so they can sue you and get more money for “the cause” but the truck parking was genius. How you going to sue for that? Take that you F’en ungreatful bustas!
