... when I was at a stoplight today after work. I was at a stoplight next to a 911 Turbo (just ahead the left lane ended into a left turn lane) and I knew the 911 guy was gonna gun it to beat me through the light so he could get ahead of me before his lane ended. Of course, I knew he could beat me because I have a f(^&ing Ford Escort! So I didn't even bother or even cared.

After he got ahead of me, it kinda dawned on me that I actually own something that can dust a 911! Too bad I wasn't riding "it" at the time... because I wouldn't have let that sapsucker pull in front of me if I was on the busa! But, who knows, maybe I would have waved him on just out of kindness...

It's just sorta surreal to know that little ole' me (aka poor me) owns something that can dust a Vette or 911 Turbo without even really trying. In LA I already showed a 911 where he belongs next to a busa... and that's way back to the point where he can't even read my tag!

The busa reminds me of a line in Point Break... "Other guys snort for it, jab a vein for it -- all you gotta do is jump". In other words, some guys spend tens of thousands of dollars... and even up over 200k... but with the busa, all you gotta do is pay 10k and jump on!

You had to "Be There" to understand the road and situation.... so for me to let that 911 ahead of me was ok... even IF I was on the Busa.

Took me 2 years to realize this:winning a stoplight race does nothin but get you closer to a ticket and accidents....let these other guys fly around n smack their s**t up-u already know how much it costs to fix up a broke Busa-in the end you'll still have a Bullet on two wheels, and they'll still be stuck strugglin to break 130 on the interstate cuz their n**tz are too small.








that bein said.....anybody wants to run 2 miles flat out-I'll be read in a month....
that 911 would need NOS just to keep my tail in sight.

I hear you BigD - I guess I've matured, mellowed, come to my senses - whatever you want to call it. I know who would come out on top but I no longer have the urge to prove it anymore.... But I'd have a 911 if I could afford one!

But back in the day... I had a '69 El Camino SS 396 with the LS6 motor (375 horses). That bad boy would smoke 'em thru 3 gears... Anyway, I was on my way to work at 5 AM one Sat and I see a IROC Camaro coming up on my 6... He changes lanes to go around me before (you guessed it...) the 2 lane road merges into 1 lane. I was doing maybe 50, I dropped it into 3rd, eased out the clutch and dumped it. Thankfully the tires hooked up and I was off! He never even got close until the next light but boy, you could see he was trying! 2 more lights - the road goes back to 2 lanes so he pulls up next to me like he wants to go again... I just looked over and laughed because his look completely changed when he noticed he was smoked by a girl. If he had a tail - it would have been between his legs. Ah, the good old days!

I had a 95 S-10 Blazer with a zz4 small block TPI, Super charged ran by an accel DFI gen 7 with dual sync dist.
That was fast and fun, 4WD smoke shows!!!
