the journey begins on OCT 1st

Make sure you park somewhere safe for over night (like in the room). Give yourself PLENTY of time to get there, and have a SAFE TRIP, good luck Brother !

In addition to usual pre-ride checklist (tires, lights, chain, cables/levers, etc.), good to have the following:
1. spare fuses
2. tire plug kit
3. wet weather gear
4. food/water
5. "weapon" to ward off miscreants
6. stuff to clean face shield
7. bike cover/disc lock

Ride safe and see you in a few!

Staying with a friend in yuma-garage...

Staying on MCRD in San Diego.. really cheap.. not saying its safer but at least its on base.

1k miles there and 8XX back. Should I drain and fill the oil while I'm there.. changing the oil today/tomorrow. Want to put some miles on it before the trip-tip I got from iron butt website..
