I don't think he was complaining at all. My fellow Floridian seems to be pretty balanced and I always give more credence to someone who has been on the ground. I would dare say far to many Americans do not even own a passport. There is nothing like being there. I have been to Israel as well as most of Europe (not as a tourist)and I had preconceived notions. I thought Israel would be scary and I would fear riding a Bus. Instead I found warm caring people who live life just like us with all the same dreams.
What I am trying to say (and not doing so very well) is in the end of the day most people in the world want safety for their family and a way to make a living. A better life for their kids. Even in Iraq! I thank Blanca Busa for his first person insight into Iraq.
The more we travel the more we see it is not us vs them. We are more the same then different.

Cant we suggest a new law or amendment that says something like "one bill == one law, no more, no less. No more ear marking, no more bs, nothing but here's the ruling on the field, enjoy" I think *that* would allow for the "clear and open government" we were promised by our current leadership. Either way the system has gone from eh to pooh and continues to slide down the bowl. Its called a death spiral. You really have to stop the process and start all over with new stuff to get it back from its current tailspin.

And if all this government run stuff is ohh sooo fuggin great, when are so many people leaving those countries and coming to the US? Perhaps this is really the back room Obamanation's foreign policy/immigration reform in disguise

I just got one more thing to add to some comments made earlier. I see Bush getting blamed for sending us into war. You need to ask yourself what you would do having just been elected into office and witnessing the collapse of the twin towers. Regardless of what intel was floating around, this was a devastating slap in the face to our country. He did what WE wanted him to do period. There are unfortunately consequences with EVERY choice and while he was not as prolific as the (cough) president we have now, I do think he did his best until his last few months in office.

I think the nation wanted him to get the people who did it to use, we were never more united as a Country. Afghanistan was the right target and we should of turned it into a parking lot overnight. Go a little crazy and no one F's with you again (yes and I am a liberal) These wars that we fight were we say we like the people just not their leaders... we can never win. No more of this door to door crap. No troops on the ground, when you decide it's war, you give some notice and you keep your word. Iran, would not be toying with us if we had leveled Afghanistan.
Very sorry if I went off course on the reply.

I think everything else had to do with payback, oil etc. We will never know.

We will never learn. WE AGREE ,, war is ugly. As liberal as I am I say you pull the cameras and reporters and you do what you have to do. Until we treat War like War we will never win. We have the fire power even without nukes to finish make quick work of Iran or North Korea. However will will sit and wait until they have Nukes then it's a whole new ball game. Sad thing is they know it and they give us the finger. Say what you want Israel does not play that game.

Another thing is the border. What the hell, put an end to this crap. My parents waited in Italy for many years before coming over, they learned English and my father cried when he became a citizen. I remember helping him study Social Studies.

So not every liberal is the cookie cutter follow the herd person. And I believe neither are conservatives.
There should be a way to find a middle ground with using the word liar, revolution etc etc. Beck Palin Rush Fox they don't want us to find it. they make money when we are mad at each other. That is not a patriot.
