The EU and speed governing

The flip side of removing autonomy from driving by adding speed controls (either manual like stop lights etc., or automated like this nonsense here) is that while you will indeed reduce the number of speed related accidents and fatalities, you will see an increase collisions of other types. There's no way around human error. To have a goal of zero fatalities is impossible, in real life you cannot control for every possibility....
 
I really can’t see this happening. There are instances that they cannot imagine where it will be required to go fast. I get it can be overridden temporarily but it just won’t work.

Having driven in England recently, they were the best drivers I’ve ever seen. And 100mph was the low end of the speed on the highway in between speed cameras.
