Temperature Gauge Not Working

Hey All;

Please don't shot or roast me, I recently purchased a kit car with an Hayabusa engine in it. I know it's wrong to butcher a fine operating bike to create a car. It was a good deal for me so I made it.

One issue I have is that the temperature gauge doesn't work ( Never moves). I assume the temperature sensor goes to the ECU and the ECU outputs a signal to the gauge. Where exactly is the temperature sensor ? I assume it is not the one one the radiator. If and when I find it can I ohm it out to see if is still good?

Thanks,

Generally the radiator sensor is to operate fans on most bikes . its a open circuit that goes closed at a certain temp 200 f in most cases give or take 15 degrees . I belive the location is on the back of
Block ( gen 2 ) under throttle bodies by T stat housing

Sorry I don't have s gen 1 to look at , but it is kind of small ( thumb side ) should have two conducters (two wires )
