Techmount vs SW-MOTECH Vibration-Damped GPS Holder

I'm wondering if the SW-MOTECH Vibration-Damped GPS Holder TwistedThrottle.com : SW-MOTECH Vibration-Damped GPS Holder (Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1340R, '08-) - GPS.05.012.10000/B
would be a sufficient height to mount a TPX radar detector. Does anyone run this mount or a Techmount? Wondering how solid the techmount is once placed in the steering stem...is it prone to moving?

that looks pretty cool, I have a tech mount which works pretty good.

Im intrested in the sw-motech mount curious if you can run a steering damper with it
