Suzuki Extended Protection

Just wondering if anyone here bought the extended protection for their bike and if they felt it was worth it?

The quotes i got for it from suzuki was as follows:

2 yrs: 400 bucks
3 yrs: 495 bucks
4 yrs: 605 bucks
5 yrs: 726 bucks
6 yrs: 1076 bucks

Now, i definitely wouldnt go the 6 years, and wouldnt go the 2 years either, since it starts when i bought the bike (jan 2007).

I have 5yr unlimeted mile on top of the factory 2 year so that equals 7 years. I have had my 2nd gaer problme fixxed , fuel pump replaced, front forks and springs replaced , starter clutch replaced, and a few little odds and ends. I paid 600 for mine so I think Ive got my moneys worth.

My engine goes out we're doing cool stuff to get it fixed....

I opt for NO extended service plans on about ALL purchases. A few reasons:

1 most things will break withing the 1st year if they will break at all.
2 I prefer to fix it myself anyway if something happens, less hassles in the long run.
3 They hope that you buy the extended plan and then NOT need it. so they make even more money.

Suzuki's history of backing up their warranty is not very glowing... count the number of guys with 2nd gear issues alone..
