suzuki decal on tank

Just wondering if anyone has removed this decal that is clear coated over and then recleared the tank?

not that easy. I have painted quite a few of these and it is damn near impossible (I have never been able to) remove the sticker without having to repaint the tank.

+1... I would even say it *IS* impossible. Even if you could get the decal off without harming the basecoat the base would probably be discolored from the decal adhesive and still be visible if you only cleared over it. Besides, I've never found a way to remove a cleared on decal without harming the base.

i was wondering because i just noticed the top edge of the S has started to peel the clear must be very thin

should i put something like clear nail polish on it to keep it from getting worse?
its not very noticeable yet
