Stupid question ...

Since I had to lay "Nero" down, my transmission feels like it's tight (like it's laboring)  the strator cover is scratched and is going to be replaced. is this a possible cause or is it just my imagination.  Help please,

you are asking if your scratched stator cover could cause your tranny to feel tight?

ummm nope.

but a little more detail about the accident might help....and exactly what was damaged.

well i went down on the left side nothing but minor scratches to me and from what i can tell only cosmetic damage to the fairings

Your linkage may have been lightly bent. Check for scratches on the front/outside of the shifter. If it got a little bent it might not move freely. If it sticks even a little you would notice a stiff feeling in the shifting.
