Just right right lower. Some claim to only take it loose, but I take mine off to make things easier. Make sure you have Suzuki's oil filter wrench, or a good strap wrench, cuz things are tight in there.

I took the right side off for the first time. It wasn't bad at all.
First oil and filter change at 220 miles and there was some metal flakes in it.
Good thing I didn't wait till the 600 mile service.
I should have taken a picture of the Busas first bleeding.
Metal in the first is normal,all the wear and fitting of new metal.Make sure to tighten the filter the 2 full recomened turns.Fine threads thats why 2 full turns.Dont ever want that puppy loosening up guess were the oil would go.
