Strength of Modular helmets

I am currently riding under a Scorpion modular helmet. I really love the "flip-up" capabilty of the modular lid, but often wonder how much structural integrity is lost versus a true full-face helmet, specifically for chin/facial area in the event of a crash.

Anybody have any insight or personal experiences to share?

I know they aren't allowed at any trackday events...that should say somethin'...otherwise, I dunno much about'em.

Curious about this info too... My wife is a little clostrophobic and I have been thinking about getting her one just for when she needs a little more "air" on hot days...but I want her safe first and foremost.... I'll be following this thread to see what is said...
