His name was Louis Maxwell Jr a retired Navy Seal who contracted with UNSF and was in an election house in Kabul when Taliban attacked.

Maxwell, 27, was asleep in a U.N. guest house filled with election workers in Kabul last October when Taliban suicide bombers armed with machine guns and grenades stormed the complex.
Maxwell, wearing his bed clothes and armed only with a handgun held the men off long enough, for most of the civilians to escape. He was killed.

"He died that others may live because he understood his responsibility," said Louis' mother Sandra Maxwell.
"He died because his father and I instilled in him that you do your best and then some to make sure you're fulfilling your obligations."
