Normally, when I turn the key to ON I hear the high pitch of the fuel pump for a few seconds. Now, additionally to that ,I can hear a sound of liquid rushing through pipes - kind of whirly sound. The only liquid there is gas, and where the heck does it go with that sound?
As I though about it, there has to be a diafragm or some sort of valve which keeps the gas in the rail. And I thought if such diafragm/valve goes bad, the gas would go back in the tank leaving the gas rail partially empty. So in such case, when the fuel pump activates, it pumps some amount of gas in the rail, thus producing the sound I hear. Am I close? Do I need to replace the diafragm?
