Are the standard busa headbearings tapered roller bearings, or just ball bearings? Anyone know/have replaced them? I've got 26K on my busa and I'll be replacing the forks...think I ought to do the bearings while I'm in there? Thanks - Zack

They are ball bearings. Not too hard, but a good idea to replace. They aren't any different than the tapered bearings to replace. Also make sure you replace the races while you have the tripple tree out.

Bearings might need just some grease. Lossen triple-t enough to inject some gease.
Seen Steering head bearings and races at 18 k miles. They both looked in good shape holding up well.
