Why not a 42? How much? Where? and did you reuse the stock chain or go shorter?

Using info from the board,

17/40 stock                    - Ratio 2.353

16/42 very aggressive   - Ratio 2.625

16/40 mildly aggressive - Ratio 2.500

17/43                      - Ratio 2.529 between very/mild

17/42                      - Ratio 2.470

Stock chain, no problem

I'm racing with a 16/43  2.6875

Put me through the lights near 10400 @ 137.5 mph in 4th.


Like the sprocket. I tried to get one but was not successful.

Not sure what the rpm is in top gear on the standard setup, give me this figure and I can calculate it

43/40 = 1.075 x rpm in top gear = the answer you are looking for
