Starting Problems

I have a 2003 busa that while crank a few times on a full battery and after its ran for a while when i go to try and start it, it makes a whining slowly to crank sound til it runs the battery down. Then i have to push start it are get a jump. Any suggestions on what he problem may be.

Are you sure the battery is good? Have you had it load tested? If running the bike is what is draining your battery the I would look at the stator and R/R.

Ok, its like when i put the fully charge battery in it, it may start fine unless it gets hot after riding. Then tryna crank it back up it will try to turn over until the battery is low.

Ive changed the R/R already ill try the stator and advise. Ty

That's probably not your problem if your killing the battery cranking it.

I had this issue with mine until I did a 24volt starting system. On just one battery as soon as it got hot it wouldn't start despite a brand new battery.

I used 4 gauge wire and put the extra battery under the rear seat all the way in the back. Put a trickle charger connection on it and charge it up once a month. Haven't had a problem since.
