I had a similar problem with my MC1 .... they replaced mine but it was as part of my MC2 upgrade under the sport vue 500 testing program... dunno, they are good guys, just give them a chance..
maybe tell them that your battery cover blew off when riding and thats how the water got in there

UPDATE Sportvue is the shid they replace my HMD unit no questions asked

yeah, Dave is great... and let me tell ya their Customer Service is beyond anything else I've had in a while... its on par with Newenough, maybe slightly better. Those guys are great!
