Stock Busa = 17 Teeth in the front sprocket, 40 Teeth in the rear, right?

Is a one tooth change in the front equivalent to 2 1/2 in the rear?

(1)What's the Top Speed and (2)RPMs(at 70mph) with:
17front, 40rear
17front, 42rear
17front, 43rear

16front, 40rear
16front, 42rear
16front, 43rear

And I believe most of you here recommend 16/42, right?

I think you will find that that is not a correct statement. Some reccomend 16/42 on a stock Busa not most. Unless you are talking about strickly 1/8 & 1/4 mile racing.

16-42 if you want better accel down low and don't care about top speed.
Max speed with this setup should be around 177.
Stock 17-40.
RPMS around 70 is 4000.

indicated speed and rpm will not change, regardless of gear(without speedo healer)17-40 90 indicated about 4600 rpm
17-41 same 17-42 same 90 indicated 4600 rpm,the more gear you add the more optomistic the speedo gets
i dont think most would reccomrnd 16-42,i know i wouldn't

I recommend 16/42 as long as you don't mind giving up the mph up top...

So what would one recommend for someone who wants to add some bottom power and not lose much up top. Would you say +2 in the rear. Also, I assume you cannot do a 520 chain with the Busa?

Nope....That's how I know I'm in sixth

it keeps me from trying to shift to seventh

Busa-

I went ahead with the 16/42 and I am still questioning my decision. I doubt I would recommend it, as it leads to severe engine braking when you are at high speeds and roll off. It also makes you adjust your cornering habits, as the increase in engine drag effects the transitions entering and exiting.
If it helps you any, at an indicated 100 MPH, I am turning around 5000 rpm with the 16/42 gears. ( Of course the indicated MPH is now inaccurate, so I understand it to be somewhere around 86 MPH ?
Anyway....my sprockets are destined to change. It causes the bike to buzz much more than I think she should. I will most likely put the 17 back up front here soon.

FYI-
It has also killed my MPG. Now I am around 170-180 miles on a tank.

Hope that answers something for you.
