Speedo question

If you disconnect the speedo sensor will the odometer still work??

Don't know about the Gen II , but I was told it would affect the Gen I

I have a gen 1 so will it read on the odometer still if its disconnected??

I don't think so, bc I have always been told the speedo error caused an ODO error.

What if its just unbolted and put aside away from the trigger wheel??

I know from personal experience that if the speed sensor is disconnected. It will not read on the odometer.

If its away from the trigger wheel obviously it wont read as well right??

if you disconnect the sensor then there's no info going to the clocks so no info means no change in reading.
you can just tie it up out the way as it wont work unless its fitted in the sprocket cover.

i used to disconnect my speedo sensor for track days and it just stays at the same mileage until reconnected.
