Cripes...I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who still has a turntable as part of the entertainment system.Dark Side of the Moon, master cut. still have it along with my Denon turntable w/ moving coil cartrige....
I still have all my vinyl from the 80's. I think my last store bought album was Twisted Sister Stay Hungry. I do still buy good condition albums from the 80's whenever I have the chance.
Last 8-Track was Supertramp's Breakfast in America...I never liked 8-Tracks plus they typically disintigrated after 5 years.
Now speaking of the 80's, you can't forget about the arcades!
These are some of my favorite games from my misspent youth.
Missile Command is my all time favorite...afterall what game captured the essence of the cold war era better?
Right now they're stuck in the corner of the laundry room while the rec and game rooms are going under total remodel. The game room is going to be freakin' awesome when I'm done. Also have a nice Zaxxon and Mr. Do! cocktail tables which are the sit down deals that used to be in places like Pizza Hut. I love trouble shooting and repairing the old PCB's and monitors...it's a great feeling when I buy a dead one and bring it back to its former glory.
Still need to get at least one pinball machine to round thigs off, preferably a Nightmare on Elm Street, Back to the Future or Tee-Off which is somewhat based on Caddyshack.
I also want one of those rare video jukeboxes, anyone remember those?
Don't even get me started on my Atari 2600 and Colecovision collections
Yep...growing up in the 80's kicked ass. I feel sorry for all the poor kids that grew up in the politically correct "give 'em ritalin" 90's with whiney bitch songs about being a rat trapped in a cage.
