my Dish Network DVR to my PC's hardrive? Anyone ever done this? Do I have to take the receiver apart and plug the hard drive from it into my PC and transfer files? Thanks in Advance.

easy but not so cheep fix. Got to staples and get a dazzle video input device. It looks like a memory card reader but has rca plugs on it and comes with some simple inporting software. Cost like 40 or 50 bucks I think. Then run rca from your dvr to your dazzle unit and THERE YA GO!!! instant input!.

Thats what I used a couple of time, fast and easy.

Not sure on the Dish Network DVR. I have a TiVo and use the TiVo ToGo software and it works perfect.

You should be able to plug in either an Ethernet or a USB module into your DVR, I know you can for Tivo units.
