So this is my problem....
I has a jerking, slip, rev up problem with my 06 Busa when it hit 8,500 miles. Well I took it in and they said it sounded as if the clutch was slipping (clutch not being a part covered under warranty). Well I paid $300 and the problem is still there. Now it seems to only be in 2nd gear above 4000rpms. Well the dealer contacted Suzuki and they said it sounds like I have a flat spot in my drive shaft or some sort of shaft inside the transmission. Well the dealer quoted me a price of $1000-$1500 just to open it and see if they can find the issue. And of course Suzuki won't cover it unless it is some sort of defective part.
now I don't race my bike, never been to the drag strip. This is my first bike ever and I'm not out stunting on it. I ride it to and from work which is 9 miles, take it to the mountains every once in a while, once to the dragon and for the most part the 10,500 miles that is on it has been me learning how to ride. I don't do burn outs or ride on the clutch. Wow I feel like I am having to defend my riding style but that's how it is. I have dropped it a few times and only once going about 15mph, that was at my very beginning stages of learning to ride. I know 10,500 miles is a lot to put on a bike in 5 months but is something like this normal? Anyone have any experience with this sort of problem? Anyone in the Atlanta area that knows of someone that can fix it cheaper than the $1000-$1500 I was already quoted?
thanks
Mike
