So what exactly was the problem with the slave support on the Gen I busa?
Is this the issue where folks were putting stiffer springs in the clutch? Resulting in more pressure than what the casing was designed for, and eventually causing cracks to appear?
Just trying to understand if there was a design issue on Suzook's part, or this was a problem introduced by owners who were performing mods on the system without taking all engineering consequences into account.
Kinda sounds like the latter....
Also sounds like the aftermarket community has a good handle on the issue.
The problem comes from using stiffer than stock clutch springs. Nothing you really have to worry about so much with a stock engine. As soon as you start adding power, you need the springs and support.
