Single topic debate #4

I thought about posting pics of the Bugatti but like the Saleen, it is not part of the comparison. Geeze, what are they? $1,000,000.00?
Since when do we play by the rules around here?

I got to sit in one today. Very awesome. I'm a phoneman and was doing some work for the guy. I said "This your's?" he says "yes" I compliment on the the ride. He then asks if I want to sit in it. Well you know he didn't have to ask twice.

If it came down to buying one of them, the Vette. If givin to me or if they were the same price (both unlikely) I would take GT.

Welll since this is a "dream" buy...I would deff shoot for the GT. The Vette is the best bang for your buck in the supercars right now...BUT I mean come on....How many GT's have you seen on the road. It is all about haveing that which the other guy does not. Not if I am buying it with my own cash it would be the Vette...mostly cause I aint making the cash to pay for the GT....Yet....But when my kidney sells on Ebay I will be able to get one.

If you want to expand the selection and say "What Supercar is the most BANG for the buck?" Your answer is in the attachment. Will be interesting to see how many know what it is too.

Looks like a TVR... Griffin, cerbera, etc...
Keep guessing. Does better (G's pulled) on the lateral skid pad than anything listed so far too. 0-60 times as good or better than anything listed as well. Top end is limited by a chip to 180 but with another chip it will easily surpass 200 mph. My review of this car has appeared in other automotive forums...

Hint - Is hand made and the top engineer on the Maclaren developed it.

And we have a winner!!!!

Yes, it is the Noble. The one in the picture is the one I spent a couple of hours in one Saturday this past spring. 0-60 times reported anywhere from 3.2 secs to 3.7 seconds. To get the car in the USA, you have to buy it as a "kit" car since it does not meet EPA or Crash standards. So in essence, you purchase the car with one check and the engine with another. In Europe, they sell them at dealers just like a Chevy is sold here. What gives it the most bang for the buck is the fact that you can get one for just over $80K and it will outperform or perform as well as the Enzo, Porche, and most of the others out there at less than a third the cost. And it is considered as an "every day" driver! I have seen used ones since with in excess of 60,000 miles on eBay!

Cool, It has hints of Toyota MR2 Lotus and various other cars. The name escaped me earlier... Have read about it a bit and like it..

I have to tell you...driving it was pure bliss. It has those twin ceramic turbos that bang between shifts when you are taking it easy. It was as sweet as they get. It is the only car that has ever given me that "Busa" type of acceleration feel. You know, that feeling that makes you go "Holy Crap!" inside. I was actually close to buying it when my Daughter's mother tried to take my little girl out of state. That battle cost me more than a few Busa's would and prevented me from buying that car. But my daughter is worth every penny. Course, we are talking a whole lotta pennies here! Here is a shot of the cockpit.

Has the fit and finish of a "kit" car. I don't know if I would shell out $80k for it for that reason alone. The exterior styling looks kind of cheap also. The interior build quality is also about the same as a Ford escort. I'm not saying that it isn't an awesome car, but just not anywhere near the same league as a supercar. The Hennessey has a 2 year 24K warranty, 0-60 in 2.9, and top speed of 255mph btw.

Just curious...have you ever driven one or even seen one in person?

never driven one, with only 24 on the road not many have. I have seen one as well as a handfull of Venom800R vipers. I do know they will beat down any production supercar and the only thing that comes close is the Lingenfelter Z06TT. Currently I am building a factory 5 Cobra replica for my not so mechanically-inclined good friend. It has a 400HP FI302 with a TKO 5speed. He has about $40 in it and should run with the Noble to 150ish, while getting more looks. For the money, the cobra kit car is probably the way i'd go, just my $.02.
