Since I cant ride for another week....

i decided to do some tinkering with the bike. When I hurt my back last week, I had brought the bike to the house earlier that day to remove my wheel stripes, so i've had it nestled under lock and key ever since(doc orders not to ride).

I came across a heck of a deal......well, it was a deal, but honestly it felt like I stole them from the guy on ebay. Brand new in the box Yoshi TRS bolt on carbon fiber cans. I had been on the lookout for a new set of cans for a while since i ruined my old set by gutting them(dont ever do that if you're thinking about it. unless you love backfiring and popping while on and off the throttle), came across these, and for the money, I HAD to get them. Too good of a deal.

they came in, just as described. still sealed up in plastic inside the yoshi box. brand new inside the can, just as shiny on the outside.

got em put on. then i took out the baffle at the end. sounds nice now. hopefully it will sound better going down the road.

also decided since i had gotten some more paint made up from spraying my bike just before the srping bash this year, and seeing all these posts on colormatched chain gaurds, I sanded mine down(from the original attempted a few weeks ago with a bad batch of paint) and shot it up at the shop today.

just some pics:

only can access one side for pics of the new cans

I hope it looks alot better than before.

I painted it while i was at work a few weeks ago and did it with the straight formula for the color from a different line of paint.......mounted it up and it was night and day.

went to my rep after i got back from dons funeral and mixed up and tinted the color in what i made for the bike. so hopefully it will look better:rofl:

I'm scared to get on the bike and move it. My back is feeling better, but I dont want to chance anything.

not to mention I want to hear the pipes at a higher RPM. But the wifey was already shaking her head at me when I opened the sliding glass doors and crunk it up in the kitchen:rofl:

Looks great. I have the same pipes and love them.

On the top in every shot. Just beyond the last screw hole. If you checked it and it's good; that's all that matters, and good luck with the back brother

i think its the light in the pic.

scared the crap out of me b/c the clear is only like 2 1/2 hours old. i flew to the bike to check it out when i read that:rofl:

I know what not riding is all about. Thats how my 1000 got the full system, pc, tag bracket, now rear pegs eliminated, helemts painted, little more tinkering with the 600. But i can say i did get a few miles in today on the 1k and she is a beast.

Make sure you let your back heal up good before jumping back on her. I did a few miles today and my back is beating right now.

Looks awsome bro. Yeah, make sure your back is good before you jump back in the saddle. Don't want to prolong the riding more than you have to.

Does anyone see what I'm seeing on the cans ????....I mean, well you did get a deal and all, so maybe it's negligible...so,well never mind.......what I'm trying to say is that.....ummm, nope never mind it's not "that" big of a deal anyway....

Better send them to me and I'll check them out for you..... :oldcool:
