Silverstar t/s bulbs

I've had chrome bulbs in the car for over a year and on the bike for 6 months.

Oh yeah, the chrome bulbs are a little dimmer than the stock ones due to the coating. They also offer some with chrome heads that illuminate better. IMO LEDs are the way to go.

The bulbs should be cleaned with alcahol to remove any skin oils on the bulb. On a Halogen bulb, this will shorten the life of the bulb. It seems that the oils reflect the heat  back to the filiment, or something like that. I have taken to cleaning all of the bulbs that I install with a wipe of alcahol just to be sure.
