Side panel fasteners?

Ok, so I just picked up a new to me 99. It has aftermarket fairings on it which I know can be a pain to install. But I can see a small nub that I think should be drilled out but is not. the side panels also keep popping out of place. I can see the slip/tab that clips under the fairing but the holes that are on the sides of the panel (the hidden ones) are not connected anywhere. What type of fastener should be used here and should the fairing be drilled here?

Id like to see pics before recomending the drill. are the fasteners in all the busa typical spots?

not sure this is my first busa....After searching many pics I don't need to drill. But the only thing holding in the side panels are the visible allen heads by the tank. I looked a factory panels and there are like 3 or 4 holes on the sides that attach to the fairing. Which size/style fastener is used to hold the dash panels to the fairings?

THere are some nice 1/4 turn fasteners out there...
