You guys are making me sad . We had to put Dakota down a few months ago he was a large husky 70lbs and lived to be 14. what a great breed of dogs they are. I want a malamute next but the wife says it will be awhile before we get another dog . Plus we are about to retire and move to Navada or Arizona both pretty warm for them.

Check with your local shelters and rescue groups. You would be surprised at the breeds you can find for adoption. They are a very sweet, loving, loyal and playful breed. Good luck!
