Thanks for all the input on the tires went with a 200 bt010. You were right about handling better than my VFR. I want to know about what settings to start with for I have never really set up the suspension before.I'm 6'3" about 280(solid muscle) yeah right. I have been riding on the street for about 15 years on and off. I do ride in the twisties but not a knee drager. Any help would be appreciated

Im 230, love to knee drag.
The bike is a tank compared to my old 750.
I got tired of it and set up the suspension.
Do some research on the forum, there is an awesome setup thread. U need to know the info it has.
I concluded a front baseline of:
preload - 2 lines showing
Top of fork dampening - 3 clicks out
Bottom of fork dampening 4 clicks out.

Rear shock:
Preload - i adjusted my shock according to proper 'sag' measurements for my weight.
Top dampening - 3 clicks out
Bottom dampening - 4 clicks out

This loosened the bike up IMMENSELY for me. I like the rear higher, corners better.
Then i tighten everything 1-2 clicks when a passenger is on, and if im going spirited riding i will tighten the bottom dampeners 1 clicks and loosen the top 1 click.

The front is NOT made for our heavier weight. U will need to re-spring for optimal use, but maybe try one to two lines out in front preload and tighten her dampenings up a bit.
Make sure to measure, and thus adjust the sag tho, thats ur ticket home.
Then play with dampenings until u like how she responds to bumps.
Im sure some guys here with chime in with other practical suggestions tho.
Take care
