SAFETY: What does your helmet rate as?

I'm a motorcycle mentor for my Army unit. I received this link today from the Safety office that rates motorcycle helmets. Just thought I would share it.

I think price to safety is in play on this list

I always buy the best shoei out on the shelves. I never have to worry with Shoei being a B rated product!

Interesting. Both my HJC helmets (AC12 and FS15) only got 3 stars, even though both are DOT/Snell with glass/kevlar shells.

My brand new Shark RSi gets 4 stars. Some of the cheaper Shark models got 5 stars.

no modular helmet got a 5 star even from shoei there seems to always be a small percentage of times the chin guard unlocks But dam I love modular helmets :down:

edit I take that back I found a modular helmet with a 100% and 5 star rating

I did look, all appear to be auto racing helmets listed for Bell. No Star, RS1, or Vortex.

My Arai Quantum got 3 stars. But that's alright, Arai has a, shall we say, "pretty good" reputation for quality.
