Sad about the damage I found on the fairings.

So I had ordered new decals to replace the crappy chrome decals the previous owner had put on the bike. I knew he had scratched the paint removing the factory decals. But had no idea it was this bad.bad.The chrome decals peeled right off. Revealing deep gouges and a ton of deep scratches in the fairings.

I was so mad. The tail was pretty bad but the side fairings were worse. I just had to leave it alone a few hours contemplating paint or new fairings. Then I decided to wetsand all the damage. I couldn't make it any worse then it was.

After 5 hours of wetsand in all the damaged areas with 2000 grit and lots of buffing I was able to save most of the paint. There are a few spots to deep to fix without touch up paint but I may be able to hide them with the new decals.

I didn't take any pics of the paint before I wetsand ed and buffed it. But here is the finished deal. Decals will be here later today.

Looks good now!

Sorry to hear about the decals before.. When I bought mine, it was sporting a Harley sticker on the windscreen..

I have these 4 large decals left. I know the suzuki is meant for the tank but I have the chrome S on the tank. Thought about putting them on bottom of fairings.

Opinions?

Ive seen them applied to the runner between the two vents in the side fairing before, That'd look good.

I think it looks good just the way it is.

Used the left over stickers on your tool boxes.

Looks great, sorry you had to manage the repair due to the previous owner's, lack of caution!
